High banks at Homestead
Saturday I ran Homestead w Hooked On Driving. It was amazing
Turn 3 and 4 were open for 1st time
I was doing 125 at end of back straight, tapped the brakes + aero drag dropped me down to 110 as I entered the banking, then I gently eased her back up to 115 by middle of banking.
Meanwhile I could feel the G forces pushing me Down in my seat as I had to look UP to see the exit of turn 4
Then I got back on the throttle and floored it till I was doing 130 + at the exit
Saw 140+ at the end of front straight, almost flat out through turn 1 then hard braking, sliding in 3rd through turn 2
Amazing, So much fun I cant wait to get back there

Sounds like you had a great time!!!
It sounds like you enjoyed running the banking at Homestead, and I bet you'd also like to come on up and run the 31 degree banking and the Rolex 24 course at Daytona.
There's a 2-day event run by PBOC toward the end of October.
There's a 3-day event put on by the Audi Club Dec 4-6.
Here's a link to a thread with some info:

You have to scroll down to post# 16 for info about the PBOC event.

anyone have an issue with active handling goin on while on banking at HMS? I was driving in comp mode and it felt like my power was getting cut while the AH appeared on the DIC. otherwise AH only goes on over higher curbs. runing 1:31-1:32

How does a Hooked event compare with Chin Motorsports? Do you ge as much seat time per day? Are they as well organized?

chin is very over crowded in my opinion, there's often 40 drivers in a group. w/ HOD 20 max, In the advanced group there were 10-12 on sat. many laps were like qualifying no car in your way. we have 5 25 min sessions and usually a mixed group at the end of the day for 40 min. most are so tired they leave after the 5 runs. you also get a nice free lunch and there is no $50/yr "membership fee". there is no problem for novices signing up as there is sometimes with chin.
Can anyone help with AH problem on bumpy banking?

I have to stop in the C5 to take it out of comp mode or AH. So if I forget it is a PITA I have to come off track and stop.. I put that other puter gizmo in where I can now leave it where I want it without screwing with it at all even after restarting the car. I think this comp mode don't go on unless it feels the car it getting out of shape. My car is really stuck to the ground and handles very well and just goes where I point it is the comments I get from people following me.
So after all the dribble I typed above even if I leave it in comp mode it may come on 1 in 8 sessions and that is when I get lazy on some low speed corner and just crank the wheel and really upset the car. Could be mine doesn't even work right no clue. I do know if I drive right and smooth it really don't matter if comp is on or not in mt car. I have done session back to back with it on then off to see the difference and never found much except as I noted above. The sensors in your car are feeling to much roll??? Hope two of the words above made sense.
