Default [VIDEO] Funday at Nelson Ledges 08-29-09

I had a thread about trying to edit videos. Once I figured it out I decided to post them for fun. These are just some laps at a Funday at Nelson Ledges in Garrettsville, OH. Car is my 1990 with a ZZ4 cam, headers and Banski Motorsports rear end kit.

There were some 24 hours of LeMons teams out practicing that kinda got in the way a few times.

I was there a couple weeks ago for a funday. Can't beat the deal - $120 for as much track time as you can handle. There were only about 25 cars divided into two groups, so there was lots of open track. Had fun mixing it up with a couple P cars. I enjoy the track layout but it sure is bumpy.

Is this sarcasm or did you have a "special" C4?

I was just giving you a hard time cause I am facing some oil issues with my car.

However, even though the L98 is grossly underpowered, once the suspension is setup its like its on rails! I think its a great car for someone like me to be learning in. Im glad I could bring back memories for you.

You grew up there in diapers just like me, you know your way around there just as good as anyone else.

Mike, I met Chuck Wasserott in 1997 at Summit Point & he had a potent blue C4 car that was a regular in OVERALL FTD's . Car is still being run by his friend and the car just keeps going and going trouble free.

Ahh, the good old days right Chuck?

It was a lot of fun. Like mentioned its only $120 and you run all day. No competition but its lots of seat time which is good.

Your gonna love the Banski kit! It really stiffens the rear and is very easily adjustable. I took my tire pyrometer to the funday and was playing with suspension setups. My tires are within 5 degrees from the inside to the outside and tread wear was very even. The car feels like its on rails. Now if only I could get my hands on some horsepower...

Nothing is final. I would love to run with you guys in TTA. I dont know if building two engines is the way to go though. I found an assembled shortblock from an '88, that appears to have been rebuilt, not too far from my house for $175. I may after all end up in TTA.
