Default Daytona Prototypes testing at Indy

The DPs tested at Indy this week and here is a video describing a lap of the course in one of the Corvette Pace Cars - pretty interesting, and after he goes around the course slowly providing details, he goes for it a bit more during his last lap (even though you see a work truck on the course during his lap...). By the way, when he says "sacrifice this corner a little for the next one", what does sacrifice mean? - something other than the best line/apex/highest attainable speed for this individual corner, b/c it won't set you up ideally for the next one?

Interesting vid and I can't wait to see the cars run here.

exactly. More time can be shaved by setting up for the second corner, in that case, so the first corner isn't optimized for itself, but to better prepare for the second.

Sounds like everyone was happy with how the test went.

Good pics Dave, thanks for posting. One of the blogs mentioned a track person stating to the drivers that they would be hitting higher speeds than ever before - have you heard what kind of top speeds there were?
