Default Team U-S-A headed west for NASA Nationals!

As of yesterday afternoon, team USA is off to represent both the Corvette marque and the Great Lakes Region at the NASA championships in Utah. We have:

U - The unstobbable Danny Popp in TTU
S - The world (in)famous Ken Smith in TTS / ST2
A - Up and comer Greg Dansbury, aka "Pizza Greg" in TTA

This would be an all blue Z06 smackdown, the beasts from the east, the thunder from...uh...the Midwest...but unfortunately the color scheme was interrupted and Danny will be driving the Silver Pfadt 2008 championship car in TTU instead of his own.

Here's to everyone making it to Miller Motorsports Park safely, and to the rest of us, keep a watch here for updates.

Quote - do they ever clean the bathrooms west of the Mississippi? There are $%@# stalagmites under the urinals!

Good luck, I was really hoping to run in TT there just to meet everyone and have fun at Miller. Unfortunately the Vette is down and in pieces, but hopefully be back better next year.

The track is really great, can't wait to run it again. You should have a blast there!

Well, they made it around 11:00 PM est. After running out of gas at the state border things got dicey. Greg had to go ahead in the TTA car and buy gas at the next station while the rig sat waiting.

I dunno, I usually have a couple of full cans in the rig for the car, I guess they thought gas would be cheaper out in Utah...
