Default Tire pressure DE/TT 710's

I'm used to being able to adjust between runs in autox, so this is a bit new doing 20 min of laps (1.6 mi course).

It's San Diego 9/24, probably cool am, maybe hot pm (air base on the bay).

c5z 295's & 315's.

What do you say?

For autox I usually run 29/25 or 30/26.

I aimed for 28psi hot, so I'd start the first session around 22-24psi cold and adjust accordingly afterward. Just take the first few laps carefully, which you should do anyway on cold tires regardless of pressure.

Wow, no kidding, that low (for the hot pressure). I am glad I asked. I usually gain 3 to 4 psi for an autox event & bleed off. Maybe I should do 5 laps & pit for a quick press ck/adjust & back out for the first session.

Thanks.

I was thinking of comp mode for about 1/2 the first session, then off the rest of the day.

Ahhh... More track record setting secrets revealed.
I could never get mine that low with my factory camber settings. The lowest I ever attempted was 28 cold. The tires rolled over so bad that it actually wore off the treadwear, traction and temperature ratings off the side of my Hoosiers.

that's actually a good way to sneak some non DOT hoosier slicks into TT. put a heat cycle on them with +2 of camber, run 'em through tech as A6s/R6's.

man I've been hanging around Toby too much....

That was for Kumhos, not Ho-Ho's. See Mark's 20pg thread for Hoosier pressures. And watch your head explode.

I've got about 2.5/1.5 neg so should be ok on the rolling over part.

Anyone else. Not looking for track record pressures, just safe/fast/decent wear pressures.
