They were late getting out of the pits for the pre-race lineup/stage.

yes, it was stated right after his great interview, they didn't show up to pregrid in time. Looked like about 20% of the field started from pit lane.......maybe last minute tire choice, or just to get a clean start.

I'm only 10 minutes into the race, so that is all I know.

I thought that I heard during the broadcast that the teams that were on pit road during the start decided to sacrifice track position to avoid getting caught up in a first corner or first lap melee due to the wet conditions.

I spoke to Lou while the were waiting. Driver missed the call to not turn in. Bummer.
Lou is a class act. Still gracious and smiling.

My son and I had a great time dispite the nasty weather, but were disappointed to see the Hot Shot Chevy nearly 4 seconds off the factory Corvette's lap times in the wet at the drop of the green flag. We were really excited to see if the LG team could keep pace with them when the track dried out, but the broken front splitter pretty much doomed them from early on. Yet and still, what a fabulous qualifying performance. Hopefully, it's a sign of good things to come from the LG team.
