Default [Video] NASA National Championship ST2 Second Qualifying Race

http://www.vimeo.com/6822769

What you are looking at: After winning the first Qualifying race on Thursday in dramatic fashion, I ended up Qualifying on the outside pole. Knowing full well I "only beat that silver CTS because the yellow RX 7 ran into him" I figure my time up front was limited so I was going to enjoy it while I could. Ron had the pole and felt if we hung back from the ST1 & SU cars we might get a clean run into corner #1.

Starting line up Ron Farmer on the inside (pole) Me, blue RX7 behind Ron and the Sivelr Caddy of Bobby Fisher directly behind me.

I hear there was quite the race for 2-4th, I really need a rear facing camera

Enjoy

Race #1 if you missed it http://www.vimeo.com/6766532

I was wondering what that was, I'm not sure what his hurry was we were 2 corners from the end and he slowed me up enough for Ron to get on my bumper

Ken, can you make your next purchase a wide angle lens. They're about $30-$35.

I know, I know but it's hard enough to remember to press record, I'll put it on my x-mas list

How about subtitles for your in-car commentary?

I'm not really familiar with the NASA format and the title says a qualifying race. So was your starting position detemined by another qualifying session? If so, and this was a regular race, how come your row was hanging for far back at the start?

NASA format on a normal weekend is practice, qualifying and than race.

For Nationals it was Thursday practice, qualifying & 1st qualifying race, Friday practice, qualifying & 2st qualifying race you then got points for you finishing positions of the two qualifying races and that set the grid for the Championship race. 100 pts 1st, 90 pts 2nd, 85pts 3rd ect, ect

I qualified 5th for the 1st Qual race but finished 1st and 2nd for the 2nd Qual race and finished 1st which gave me 200 points or the pole in the Championship Race

They were so far back on the start because one of the cars caught fire on the grid and the next car in grid didn't get out on the track right away so everyone had the play catch-up.
