I just watched it. I loved hearing how he flipped off Lee Iacocca after winning a race when earlier Ford(Iacocca) had refused to give him a car. During the race he lapped the second place finisher, who was driving a Ford.

Sometimes I can be a jerk since I love to rub in an "I told you so" too. If I was as good as A.J. was maybe I'd have a lot more chances to do so.

The interview wasn't really that great but the answers and short stories were. In the second interview, Gene Romero refusing to ride a dangerous track and telling track officials to send out the novices was great too, especially since Dave Despain was one of the novices at that race.

AJF was good and being in racing as long as him he could spend a week and just scratch the surface.

My father grew up with A.J. near La Grange, TX. My fondest childhood memories during the 70's were when he would invite us to his shop to see his latest Coyote just before the start of the season.

I missed the AJF appearance on WT. Did he talk about his family?

Whatever his own successes, Mr Foyt sure proved to be a tough act
for his offspring (and their's) to follow.
