Default Mid-Ohio DBL SCCA T1 Results

Nice weekend at Mid-Ohio even though it was a chilly 50 degrees but we made the most of it. We actually had 4 of us in T1 and all were C5's and all black. Quine,Hutter,Stracenski & Lancaster. Pretty good for a regional.

We also had a few TCC guys Joe Cauley,Danny Kellermeyer,Vern Roberts & John Labarge in ITE Corvettes as well. Super nice and fast guys to race with.

Saturday was the club course and Sunday was the pro course. I also set MY PERSONAL fastest lap ever on the Pro course with a 1:32.945. There should be more out there with fresh tires and warmer track temps but will have to wait till next year to see. Not sure what the T1 record is on the Pro course layout, I tried to find it but could not. I want to say John Buttermore Jr has it but not sure of the time. I know David P. has the club course record at a 1:35.4 I believe so if anyone can find the records for the other let me know. I doubt I was even close to the record anyway but still would like to know to figure how many nitrous bottles to install next time!

Saturday Q
Quine
Hutter
Lancaster
Stracensky

Saturday Race

Sunday Q

Had a great time and hope to do it again with you guys. Great battle between Kellermeyer & I on sunday for the overall.

Sorry to Joe Cauley on the bad half shaft during the race, you were haulin buddy!

Nice, good job! I'm looking forward to our double coming up at Buttonwillow at the end of the month, so far 2 of us, both C5s...sounds like Oli and the others will be busy or cars not running right

No way Ken really? Kellermeyer caught me in his C6 ITE car and no way to hold him off, so I gave him plenty of room to get buy. I was able to hang with him for a bit and then I was overcooking the car. Did this for the last 3 laps and finished 1.458 senconds behind him to finish 2nd overall. WHAT FUN!

Talked to Danny Popp and James was not able to make it! I am sure he would have stirred the pot and made for some good racing too.

Bullshiet !!!!!

Work comes before racing for you now because of the 3rd kid (in 3 years ) and the new house.....

Nice job Aaron, air quality was good, I am sure the straightaway handling was good......

New records are typically run early and late in the season. Good air and reasonable pavement temperatures rock !!!!

Just found this as the fastest T1 race time on the PRO COURSE. Checked all the other times from before & after this date.

Got a call & email out to check this as the fastest T1 RACE lap using the PRO COURSE.

My current Race lap time from Sunday. 1:32.945 Record or no record?

Aaron I say When I was running TTA I searche long and hard for the fastest lap in a T1 car and what you posted above was the best I could find also.

Looks like you probably got it by 4 tenths, nice running Brother

The fact that you were even hanging with Kellermeyer is impressive, his car is no T1 car.

I checked my transponder #, best I found on me was 1:34.14 from this summer, but that was on the club course. No hits on the pro, although I did run it during a regional shakedown after I blew up at the June Sprints. I don't have those results, but it was a wet track so you wouldn't care anyway!

NICE RUN!

Problem is the video is like 28 minutes long and not sure where or how to host it or what not. I have it on a Sandisk Compactflash card that is 4GB. I kinda suck in that dept unless it's under 10 minutes for Vimeo or Youtube.

I do have the qualifying of Sundays as well but same thing, 20 some minutes long. Not to pretty due to the fact the exhaust pipe broke off where it meets the stock exhaust manifold on the drivers side. That thing was popping/crackling and set a bunch of codes and sounded like it was on 7 cylinders and the times showed. Got it welded before the race and she ran great.

The Handi-cap race is on there too, it is entertaining. I started dead last from a standing start at Pit out and had to catch the field in 10 laps. Based on my sat & sun race times slower cars to the front and fastest at the rear. Plus they did a math calculation to send the cars out at different intervals.

In theory, if everybody ran as fast as there 2 races then we should all end up at the the finish line at the same time on lap 10. So I am last to go and I keep watching the lead cars go thru turn one while I sit at pit out waiting for the guy to say go. I go and I have to catch 15 cars and pass them TWICE, thats right TWICE since they already lapped me while I was waiting to go.

I did catch ever car and then the lead car again on lap 9 but could not real in my buddy John Stracensky the SANDBAGGER in his T1 car. John started in front of me and ran like 2-3 seconds a lap quicker than his race results so in theory I would have had to run 1:29-1:30's to catch him. They said my out lap was crazy fun to watch and then I was clicking off low 1:33's consistantly for the first 5-6 laps then the traffic came and the 2 cars that were playing with me for fun and ran side by side and wouldn't let me by. Can you say split them right down the middle!

It was really fun and only cost $25.00 to enter and I won $125.00. John won the $300.00 for 1st and felt bad so he took us all out to dinner at KC's Ribs in town for dinner.

I wish you guys could see this video. Ken,(Mr. Editor) what should I do with all the video on the card?

Vimeo will host any length videos, I have a 45 minute race just has to be under 500 MB

Or you could send it to me & I'll put it up and send it back.
