I like it better than the mity-vac!
I'm going to pick up another one - my 2 year old one still works, but you can't see the gage because some fluid wrecked it.

All I can say is my Mity vac lasted ONE brake job and the internal seals were SHOT.
After two years this one is still going strong, just stored it in contact with chemicals that made the cover over the gage unreadable.

I switched to the motive pressure bleeder and will never go back to vacuum or pumping the pedal again. Best $60 you can spend, esp with the one for GM reservoirs vs the universal.

stoptech article says your pushing air into the fluid under pressure.

Yeah two people wrote theirs busted. Wonder how many they have sold?

I use speed bleeders on my Mustang and they work okay but I went through a few getting a good set.

I was hoping the coupon link would have one for their nitrile gloves. I've been holding on to one and just realized it expired on the 27th.

I have been using this for over 5 years now. One man operation...no pressurized reservoir...can be used to evacuate other reservoirs (clutch, power steering, etc.)

I don't use the supply reservoir that comes with the unit. I just watch and refill the car's reservoir as needed. The vacuum unit does not pull the fluid very fast so it is not an issue to pull air down into system.

I put hose on the caliper fitting and start the vacuum before I loosen the screw to insure no air goes back into caliper. I also tighten bleeder before turning off vacuum for same reasons. I use a spring clamp to hold the vacuum units handle in the on position while I do other things during the bleeding process. When the fluid clears up, I move on to the next wheel. I think less fluid is used to do the bleed properly. At $80 a liter for SRF that's a good thing.

Just another option to consider.....

Maybe possible but unlikely if you are pouring the brake fluid in the motive to keep the master cyl reservoir full, but for a bleed I just pressurize the tank so it's like a air-over-oil hyd. system, no air contamination.

I did just flush my z06 when switching to SRF and changing the lines, I put 1 liter in the motive at a time and went at it, no issues. Track tested since then too.

I stopped putting fluid in the Motive after a Motive tubing line burst @ about 12 psi and splashed brake fluid ALL OVER the place. I never moved so fast cleaning it up. No damage, but now I just keep the res full & use the Motive for pressure.

That seems to work fine.

I am not sure how air gets into the new fluid doing this at 12 psi?

That true?

I like all the tech stuff that StopTech produces & I think they are a good company, but that seems to be a stretch.
