Default The dark side isnt so bad.

So in search of bigger fields and closer racing i rented my buddies gts3/IP bmw m3. We took it out to mid ohio to play with the BMWCCA at a "premier" event. The IP field was HUGE.

qual'd 3rd, finished 2nd. Not bad for my 2nd time at that track and first time in a BMW right? I got right up on the 1st place guys bumper, but the car slowly started to let go, then I had to literally fight off the guy behind me. Crapload of fun....

makes me want to build one...... :o

well i've never run club course before, and i havent run mid-o in a couple years, so I can't really say. The vette and the m3 arent comparable power/weight wise.

I ran a 1:39.2 in the m3 on club course, eric was able to bust out a 1:38.4

I actually busted out a 138.2 sucka!

Wally was actually just being nice. He didnt want to embarrass the car's owner.

Here is my enduro stint. I was in 2nd and close to the leader when I spun on some fluid in lap 2 Drove the crap out of the car to get positions back. Handed the car off to Wally about halfway through the 60 min "enduro". He was making ground on 2nd place, but then the race ended on a full course caution I only edited video of my portion since Wally's was kinda boring, then had a long FCY.

Well, not exactly. When I run PTB, I need to remove the front splitter and the X-brace under the car. Granted it probably wouldnt change the time much, but not sure what my "PTB time" would be
