Default Hoosier R6's

Get ready for the track with a set of Hoosier R6's! One set of Hoosier R6 D.O.T. Radials, on special. The tires are, 275/40/17 for the front and 315/30/18 for the rear. Special pricing on this set, $1202, plus shipping. The tires are being sold as a set, so we cant offer singles. Sizing is correct for a C5, but will also fit a C6 if its using 17" and 18" wheels. Contact Chris or Scott in the parts department for more details.

Are you sure that is the correct price? I need a set just like your selling but was going to wait until I got back from my vacation on the 22nd. Tirerack has them at normal price for $1222 plus shipping...so I just wanted to make sure you didnt make a mistake on your "special price". Saving a whopping $20 is not going to make anyone run for their wallet I dont think.

Let me know!

Not sure many run those sizes on a C5 but I guess others will chime in.

I see nothing wrong with those sizes. You could run the narrower 255's in the front, and 295's in the rear, but I don't really know why you'd want to do that . Although, the 315's in back "might" be over-kill to a degree ... I guess it depends on your car setup and your driving style.

I've run that setup before. Not very desireable, but it works - especially if you like an understeering pig like Varkwso.

Would 275's front / 295's rear be more ideal then?

The normal setup on 17 inch wheels for the c5 is 315's all around. Running smaller tires makes no sense unless class rules dictate.

Didn't the ZR-1 C4 come with close to the setup? THe rear were 17" though. You could find some C5 rear rims and run this combo on a c4 as well.

Robert,

I know that we are not smoking Tire Rack on pricing, but we wanted to try to get the attention of the autocross guys. They will appeal to the customer who wants to save $20.00. If you have any questions, please call the store at 281.821.1222, myself (Chris), or Scott can help you.

I'd be interested - but I can't run the 315's
Now a full set of 275 for 18" rims - I know a bunch of folks would be interested.

will barely fit on a stock set up C5Z and should be o.
oem C5 wheels and these will be bubbling off the rear rims and dangerous IMHO.

Put them up as a contingency prize and people will stab each other's eyes out for them.

I've run R6's - 315/18's on 10.5" wheel and 275/18's on a 9.5" wheel with no issues.. this is actually the configuration of my back up set of wheels/tires
