Default Reusable track car numbers?

So I've been using good old fashion painters tape for my numbers for HPDE events, but was thinking of something that looks a little nicer. For the group I run with, car numbers have to be 10" and on both doors of the car. I'd like something I can reuse.

What do you use for car numbers? I need something I can take off after events and reuse.

Thanks.

I had a local graphics shop make up a set of static cling numbers. I needed numbers 8" high and they made up a single clear vinyl sheet with the numbers printed on the inside of the sheet. They let me select any Windows Tru-typ font they had and a choice of about 12 colors.

The sheet came on a plastic-covered backer sheet that hold the number set when off the car.

To affix the numbers, I squirt a film of water on the door, lay the sheet on the water and squeegee out the water. That holds the sheet to the car door and I can even use them for track days without then coming off.

You can get static clings from SoloTime or iZoom graphics

Don't buy the magnetic numbers.

There's a vendor at NASA events in Arizona who cuts numbers/letters on-the-spot (or, if he's busy he'll send them to you). He has his whole print shop setup in his trailer. The graphics are nice and the prices are very reasonable. I'm not sure if he has reusable media or not. His web site is:

reusables look nice, but you must take care to keep them clean. They won't last forever, but with care you can get several events out of them. I can do solid black or white, or layer any color over them, and pretty much any windows font, size etc.

I get a set of low tack vinyl numbers every year from http://www.ssc-tint.com/

We run 20+ autocross events a year and because I'm a clutz I occasionally rip one, but other than that, they easily last all season, and more if I didn't like changing things up.

I used the "re-usable adhesive" #s from solotime last year for autocrosses and they work great but don't last forever. I didn't get a full season out of them, but it was a rainy autocross season.
I went for the static clings for nationals and I lost the '1' on both sides before my morning runs were gone.
Since then though, the other numbers have held up great.

My avatar shows my attempt at low cost removable numbers. It is adhesive backed 8 1/2" X 11" paper from Walmart with numbers printed by my home computer printer.

Worked well (surprisingly even in the rain). However, in the end I realized the ink cost was more than buying numbers.

Contact Paper is still a favorite of mine, although real vinyl is about the same price. Before I got my plotter, I used to keep templates (printed from my PC) rolled up in the roll, and I'd just cut a new set out with scissors before each event. Looked great, and worked well.

Now I use removables some, sometimes I just cut fresh vinyl to fit my mood!

I had david cut a set of round decals on removable vinyl for a friend of mine. He's used them for two events and they are still like new.

I've more-or-less figured out what does, and does NOT work, with removable now, so drop me a line if you need anything. I also have a roll of magnetic that I bought for a customer, so keep me in mind that you ever need that as well.

Off to CMP for a long weekend to try out MY new numbers! Orange over black removable...
