Jacking one side of the car w/ one jack????
I was reading another thread & a guy said he saw a radiator split open doing this.
I have been doing it for years c4 & c5 when I change from street/track/street wheels.
Usually the rear jacking puck location, but the front jacking puck location works also.
Usually it's 10 to 15 min a side as I whip off two wheels & put the replacements back on, set shocks, check brake pads rotors etc.
Am I nuts for doing this or is the car stiff enough that it's not a problem.
Obviously if it were going to be more than 10 to 15 minutes for some real work I would make other lifting arrangements.

that is BS, no way you can split a radiator doing that. MAYBE on a car w/ a really flimsy chassis, but no way no how on a late model vette.

I jack up my car using a single jack right in the middle of the car with NO issues ever..
However, Its stiff enough that if I do just use the front or rear lifting spots that I only need a couple extra pumps of the jack to get the other wheel off the ground.

on the porsches, it is possible to get 3 wheels in the air at the same time with one jack
i bet you can get a lotus completely off the ground if you find the right point!

Awwwh, you bunch of jack-offs!
Personally, I use two jacks from harbor freight. The 1 1/2 ton aluminum shorties work just fine on one side at a time for changing tires quickly. The frames really don't like concentrated load in small contact point for half the weight of the car unless you use a large plate to distribute the load.

Jacking with a single jack is just fine. I use the spot where the large floor pan support spreads out and meets the frame (about mid point down the side). I normally try to put the jack head touching both the frame and the pan support.

I agree with Chris, right where the front seat reinforcement is welded to the frame rail. Just be careful that your jack can roll, or the jack head can slip outward and damager your rocker panel.

I always use the rear jacking and never had any issues. If you saw how the frame is made and put together, you wouldn't worry.
