Default Nitto NT-01 prices

Thinking of going to the Nitto NT-01 to use as autocross tires and driving to and from event site (about 30-miles round trip). My tire guy (local Goodyear shop) quoted me $1,024 for stock size C5 tires, mounted, balanced, recycle fees, etc. out the door. Good price?

May be able to save some $$$ with online vendor but would still have to find a place to install. My local shop has done 2 other tire sets for me with appropriate care on my C5 not to mention tires and maintenance on my other vehicles.

A local shop down the street from me matches DTD. Might save you some money.

If you are hoping to be competitive you should check you local rules. In my area the NT-01's move you out of the stock tire class and into the SS class that is ruled by by tires like Hooser A6s. NT-05 or Kumo AS will keep you legal in in street tire classes. Get what you like...but, know the rules before you decide.

Have fun Autocrossing

I only run WSCC events which puts me in D1. The Nitto seems to be a good compromise in the local class. I'm currently running in front of the non-R tired group in D1. Hoping the NT-01 will put me closer in front. Currently running the Kumho MXs.

It sounds like your class requirements are different then down in SoCal. Down here we have a street tire class that requires a tread wear rating of 140 or more...so, the NT-01s can't be used because they have a wear rating of 100. The SS class is open to all tires, which mean that you are running with guys on the really sticky tires. With that said it sounds like you have a good grasp on the classes. I would be interested in hearing how the NT-01s work for you. I am hoping that they will start making them in C6 Z sizes so I can use these for HPDE's. They sound like a great tire.

Just bought NT01s from DTD for $998 shipped to my door.
$1024 installed is a good deal.

Thanks...that's what I was looking for. I know Discount has the best price for the tires alone. I like dealing with my Goodyear guy. He beat the local America's Tire for the Kumho MXs I have now plus he always gives me "out the door" quotes which he sticks to. No guesses involved.
