overheating issues, still scratching my head
over the weekend the car started overheating to the extremes, coolant looks good and so does oil so pretty sure no head gasket problems.
i just replaced the water pump and thermostat and still the same thing.
i am running a dewitts radiator, i have driven the car quite a bit since installing the radiator
fans are coming on also when they are supposed to.
any ideas??
pretty much have ruled out anything cooling system related i am guessing pretty sure no air in the system or it would have shown up well before now.
upper big rad hose is getting hot but the bottom big passener one is not getting warm during engine operation
i have ran this for a few hundred miles on the track before this problem occured so idk how it could be air in the system all of a sudden since i am hearing alot of those suggestions.

already changed to a brand new water pump and still same issue, changed between a brand new thermostat and my old one that do both open up when up to temp.
weird thing is there is no pressure on the bigger bottom passenger side hose i figured it would be hard to squeeze the hose will try again this morning some things

Is the air properly ducted through the radiator? Are there any gaps where the air could be bypassing the rad? I ran my car without the factory air dam and the car started overheating quickly.
Are you losing any coolant, or is the system always full?

when at RA it blew alot of the coolant out,
it warms up very quickly just running 2 minutes in the garage where the fans come on at high speed DIC says around 207.
no changes have been made to the car for it to not to have proper air flow.
going to try to drain the complete system and go from there and see what happens.

you have a water blockage somewhere if the radiator hoses have a huge temperate difference. try putting in the old radiator .
first easy thing to do is try pulling the thermostat completely out.
also you can disconnect on end of your radiator hose start engine with thermostat and see if alot of water flows
also your belt could be slipping

it has got to be some sorta of blockage or something wrong with the rad. the lower hose where thermostat is conncted to does not even get hot to where i cant hold onto it to pinch it to feel for water flow. that is after the car running around 10 minutes and reaching temps of 196. heck the thermostat housing does not even get that hot either.

I'm pretty sure the pax side hose is the engine outlet (with the tstat inline). If thats cold, then you're not getting water past the pump/tstat, so the failure is most likely there.
I'd do what one of the other posted suggested and remove a hose and verify that you're getting coolant flow. On the drivers side, put the hose down into a bucket of water, it should suck the water out of that bucket.
And pull the stat for testing (or cripple it open) so that water will actually flow when the car is cold. Don't let it get too hot or it'll be coming out for a rebuild.

what are you talking about?
what is the flow of the coolant? from top drivers side to waterpump, through there to thermostat and then through the bottom passenger side big hose?
i will try some more things and let you guys know

was running distilled with 2 bottles of watter wetter for 1 time at mam the 2 days at track attack and the 1.5 days at road america.
so it is up to the tracking task just something is no clicking for the cooling
using tap water now for testing til i get it all straightened out.
