Stands were empty at Watkins Glenn, almost as empty as the stands for the Rolex Grand Am race. By the way Corvette is looking really weak in Grand Am.

When I tuned in, LGM was 3rd, but then they pitted and dropped to 13th, one lap down. Only made it back up to 11th, but got a great shot at the Hand BMW's rear bumper to pass him. But was then passed back and left in the dust. Seems like they don't have the HP of the rest of the pack. Still learning I guess.

The irony of racing is that the two best marketing tools (Danica and Jr.) never win races. I'm a little suspicious of that #3 win on Saturday night. It was just too perfect. I know NASCAR hss rigged things in the past but I thought those days were over. Oh oh - here come the black helicopters.

At any rate Danica proves that the old adage that you have to win to get sponsors is totally out of date. H*ll, she's not even getting much TV time anymore. How much longer will GoDaddy be willing to pay that bill if she doesn't get on TV?

Notice that she didn't even bother to do a post-race interview. Now that's arrogance.

Danica had a laundry list of excuses that would make a sponsor puke. Coming in at the rear all the time will make her sponsors walk I think.

NASCAR is there in August...last year attendance was down a bit, but the place was still packed pretty well...too bad it was a rain-out.

It would be a better show if some team would step up and beat Penske
$$$$
Go back to real race tracks like the glen . Dump the street circuits and the airport tracks .
Milka ...wtf ? I make her look slow .

I thought the race was pretty good, for a change. Very close and some gutsy passes at the bus stop and turn one. The Penske "unfair advantge" isn't so much his $$$$ but more his intelligence in having the best drivers and best crew guys. I heard at the end of the show that this might be their last time at the Glen as they have no contract for next year or the future. Nascar owns the Glen.

Danica could use some serious tutoring for road courses. That or move her seat up closer to the throttle pedal.

I wish they'd bring back the Grand Prix of Cleveland at Burke Lakefront Airport. That was always one of my favorite races during the Champ Car era. There were so many lines though the corners that you would have 3 passes in a single corner.

I hate seeing the cars bounce on the ground like an old Chicago side street . Sebring too Drivers would probably agree
Make it so the drivers have to lift on the ovals ,
And Mileage races where drivers have to save fuel , aint what fans want .
Plenty of quality Road courses in the US , hope they keep the Glen

Was it? The green flag was dropping and some talking head was talking about something I don't even remember but it wasn't about the start

go out to Penske for the one,two finish.

the two female rookies, one of whom crashed, out qualified Patrick

that's real slap in the face.
