Default Cooling of all aspects

Well after experiencing my first HPDE, I have found my car (C5) in need of some cooling help! I cooked my stock brakes, boiled the fluid, and also bubbled over my power steering reservoir (assuming that boiled as well). My oil temps got warm but nothing crazy like I read on here. Looking to get some better cooling for my oil yet to be on the safe side as well as the power steering. From my research on here, the Ron Davis radiator set-up from DRM seems the way to go, but a touch out of my price range at the moment. ANy other good alternatives like running one of those block fittings above the oil filter to a dedicated oil cooler maybe mounted in front of the radiator and the same (another smaller dedicated cooler) for the power steering? Give me your thoughts, and also a good power steering fluid to swap over to! Thanks!

Brakes - get some air to the center of the rotors. Also use them harder in a shorter amount of time, DO NOT "drag" the brake. This gives them a better chance to cool before you need them again.

Seperate coolers for oil and power steering. Look at the sticky post and see what others have found to work.

Power steering probably just swelled and sloshes. Put in a quality fluid and lower the level so that it barely touches the bottom of the stick. If you don't have an oem cooler, get one

Glad you had a fun time at the track! These cars get hot and fast. We have a stand alone oil cooler setup for 650ish. It comes with the same block adapter, and line setup just a bit longer. I have to take some more "fancy" pictures of the setup. Ok just got back from taking some pictures! They are uploading now.

Redline makes a damn good PS fluid. We fill them to the cold mark when hot and let her buck! C5Z PS cooler actually works pretty damn well!

PS I'll be back........

Is this the same as the clutch? Suck out the reservoir and fill it with whatever you want to use, exercise the system, and do it all again a few times?

That's how I did mine. Not sure if that is right or wrong. I took some out, filled the reservoir and turned the car on worked the steering wheel some and repeat.

You can also disconnect a line down by the cooler and let a bunch of fluid drain out and then refill. It probably won't drain the whole system doing that but you will get more of the old fluid out and be able to make the changeover quicker.

Here is a installed picture. I will try to get a photo shoot going for the "product" picture. But this should give you a idea.
