Default GoPro HD Hero - Motorsports - Which software works best?

I got it today and I am going to the track this weekend.

I will post videos of my track weekend on Monday. Anyone know the best way to edit these videos for youtube. Going for cheap yet decent.

Took a little test and it looks like a good picture. I am not trying to shoot a feature film so the quality is great for what I am going for.

Now testing a long video for that corruption error i kept hearing about and then also ill be driving around with it all night long.

I use Premiere Elements. It was the software that would handle the encoding without any additional downloads. Also I like the fact that you do the editing, render and it then automatically pushes it up to YouTube. (But that is probably common also with other solutions)

Any issues handling mp4 files? I've read there are problems with audio.

Thanks,

Jim

MoviMaker with Win Vista or Win 7 Home is what I use. Lets you chop the original vid and place cool transitions between clips for that "professional" feel

MovieMaker won't handle the .mov format, maybe some others, too. I don't know what format GoPro uses when it records.

I'm testing the mounting location I have in mind this weekend. I plan on using Quicktime to edit.

Good luck .......
