Codeblack knows as he has looked into it because he was wearing boxes. He is going to Pocono this weekend so he won't be back till Monday.

Any chance that a 16 might fit?
I see RJS in 16 with an SFI 3.3/5 rating listed here at Wesco Performance
The RJS Racing site states that their sizing runs to 15.
Piloti has shoes to size 15, too. Not that a 15 is very likely to fit
when a 17 is called for.
The other catch may be finding Nomex socks.

If none of the shoe mfrs responds to a request for a custom 17, I
wonder whether inspectors would accept mukluks / booties sewn
from Nomex using SFI-approved methods by one of the suit
constructors?
