C4 Clutch and Flywheel
I am going to replace the clutch and flywheel in my C4 and am looking for opinions. This is a track car. I am not trying to break the bank, but want something reliable that will last and hopefully help get rid of this vibration I have. Any recommendations?

Call Carolina clutch, get light weight aluminum flywheel and stage 2 or 3 clutch.
Thats what I'd do If I could stay in NCCC grp II.
I have a steel that weighs about the same as the stock DM and a stage 2 clutch ready to go in when I have the funds for the install.

I dont have one yet but when I buy a clutch it will be a lightweight Fidanza and stage 2 clutch from Carolina Clutch.

I have the stage 4 set up with aluminum flywheel from Carolina Clutch. I do hear the flywheel make some noise but mine is a track only car too so as Brian said, what does it matter?
I wll say that it's a bit of a learning curve with the aluminum FW and the clutch disc I have. Feathering the clutch around the pits and staging area takes a little getting used to. Clutch is either engaged or not, not a lot of middle ground.

Just bought a 16lb unit from Barnett, in Atl..
What year motor? It matters.
Check out the Sticky on ZF in the Tech section. Lots of options.

The grabby clutch problems is reported to be the .100" difference between most flywheels for standard application and the DM.
No personal experience, but that's what I heard when researching.

Carolina Clutch set me up with a single mass flywheel and an Exceedy clutch 4 hard years and many track events ago. Still going strong, but I may replace it this winter as PM.
