Anyone using Mocal AOTGM oil thermostat?
This PN is an oil line block adapter and 200F thermostat all-in-one. Specifically, I would like to know by how much, if any, this reduces the efficiency of the oil cooling system compared to one with no thermostat. I would expect something like oil temp in the 240s on the track with a big cooler and no thermostat. If you have this, what is your application, and what temps do you get.
Thanks!

There is a post from a few years ago documenting oil temp that went up from 240 to 265 when a thermostat was installed in the line to the external oil cooler. Also, some say the thermostat imparts a large pressure drop (e.g. a restriction) to the system. However, both of these data points are likely from the older style "H type" thermostat. This integral thermostat and adaptor block is relatively new. I am hopeful somebody has used it and has data.

Any update on this AOTGM device. When i upgrade my cooling system, my car is a daily driver and HPDE as well and I don't want it running too cool. just want to make sure it will keep proper oil pressure with this device in place.

I use and am pleased with MOCAL's 200 degree F oil thermostat.
I come out of my engine with a Canton Racing oil filter adapter using #12 AN fittings and lines:
From there the oil goes into a FRAM dual oil filter housing that is mounted in the left-front wheel well:
Out of the filters I go directly to the MOCAL thermostat:
From the MOCAL thermostat I go into a SETRAB #172 oil cool, and from the SETRAB cooler back to the oil filter adapter:
The SETRAB cooler and MOCAL thermostat keep my oil at 195 degrees + for street driving and at 220 degrees F on the track.
Without the thermostat, my oil would only get to 163 degrees F, which is too cool.

Pumba are you using the oil-take off AOTGM part or the H-style MOcal thermostat? THe inline one would be really nice since it is supposed to fit right in the stock spot.

The following picture shows my MOCAL thermostat in car position:
The view you are seeing is from the left side of a C5 with the front fascia removed. The black tubular piece is the lower radiator support.
