Default Iowa Speedway NCCC autocross vid inside, critique please!

I taped a couple of my runs from Saturday, and posted the Youtube links below. Unfortunately, while charging my camera that evening... Well, my 1 year old Silver Lab decided it looked like a fun toy. I just bought the thing!

The onboard video shows that I pushed a bit too hard into the "S" turn, which was corrected as you will see in the next run on the outside. I don't know, maybe I'm driving the whole thing wrong. Anything I can do different as a driver?

Either way, it was sure a fun and fast course. Great weekend for sure.

Only tip I have is that on that course you could have used a bigger horse (LS7).

Heading to Lincoln Midiv today.

Hi Frank! Good to hear from you, hope your season is going well.

You are correct, i need more power! I was going through the finish at the same mph as larry steffen in his c6z on street tires. I know i took the gates quicker, he just ran me down! Time for group 3!

Are you heading up to Omaha for Summerfest? I'm planning on being there, would be fun to run with you again!

I'm going to try and make the low speeds on Sunday at Summerfest and then after the event head over to Lincoln for the Solo Nationals. Monday the couses are open for walking.

Thanks! Yeah, 4.10 gears don't really help my times, but it makes me FEEL like i'm going fast having to shift all the time! Road America was fun maxing out 5th gear on the front and middle sections!

Aug. 14/15 was our event at the speedway, its far too expensive to rent the track for more than one weekend, i think even with nearly 70 drivers both days, we only break even!

Frank and I are jabbering about the Cornhusker club's Summerfest held in your wonderful town of omaha on labor day weekend! Sunday at mid-america center, and monday at MAM... Great weekend, put on by a great group of folks!

Damn I'll have to pay attention more next year. Looks like fun and I've never been there before. NRSCCA runs at the MAC and I'm not too fond of that lot anymore as it's too small to safely run a good course especially with higher HP cars. Do you need to be a Cornhusker member in order to attend the MAM event on the 6th?

Actually, you'd be surprised. Scca typically runs an extremely tight course, made for small, low horsepower cars without adequate runoff areas. To be able to run at MAM, you need an NCCC high-speed license, though the requirements to get that vary... Track experience, autocross events, etc. PM me for full details if you would like!

Nope, I haven't had a chance to get to MAM this year yet. I'm still considering BooBash in October, just depends on my schedule. I think it's also around the same time as the Fbody event at Road America.

I'm sure one of these days we'll run into each other at an event!
