Default Vented Catch Can

Hey Guys,

I have read quite a few threads about catch cans but they always end up with no real solution.

I have an 02Z and the issue I seem to have is that when off throttle at >5500rpm for long periods of time I get a light oil smoke haze out the exhaust from the high vacuum sucking in oil. The second I get back on throttle, it clears right up.

I dont really like the idea of a sealed catch can as I feel that the engine will still bring in oil through it under high vacuum (and have read of people having this issue).

I was planning on just running a simple can with a filter on it with the vc and valley line hooked up to it, just like I used to run on my turbo civic. This way any crack pressure gets relieved, but the vacuum wont draw out oil.

Does anyone run this setup on these motors? Any issues? I am not worried about the smell.
