Default 2006 CTSV Supercharged - Very stealthy power

The 2006 Cadillac CTSV is nice but our customer said, "It is a little sluggish".
He wanted to keep the car nice, quiet and executive until you MASH THE GAS!!

Solution: Magnacharger!

For most of its life, the car silently behaves like tea and crumpets while driving clients around. The car is absolutely silent. But when Craig feels the need, the car unleashes a ferocious lion roaring accelerating so hard you scorch your shorts. HOLY THUNDER! SLOW DOWN! Anyways, back to normal at the next stop light as if nothing happened.

Results:
Gain approximately 120hp and maintain stealth like mannerisms.

Added benefit:
We also added an upgraded shifter from UUC.

Customer's exact words... "Wow! You guys nailed it."

Hm. The LS3's in that body style V (2004 to be specific) are pretty decent sleeper motors too. I'm not sure there are many cars running them, but a good friend of mine has a 2011 LS3 with an intake and full exhaust w/ 477rwhp. No work done to the internals, just intake, exhaust, and a really good tune.

1st or 2nd gen CTS-V? I've been waiting to see someone put an LS9 in the new CTS-V.

Damn. I'd always heard those cars were axle-snappers at stock output levels.

I've never heard of an LS3 coming factory in a CTS.

Wikipedia reference-linkhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cadillac_CTS-V#Engine

From 2004 and 2005, the CTS-V came with the 5.7 liter pushrod OHV LS6 engine producing 400 hp (298 kW) at 6,000 rpm and 395 lb·ft (536 N·m) of torque at 4,800 rpm. From 2006-2007, the previous LS6 engine was superseded by the new 6.0 liter OHV LS2 engine as used in the base 2006 Chevrolet Corvette. The new LS2 engine was rated at the same 400 hp (298 kW) at 6,000 rpm with the peak torque of 395 lb·ft (536 N·m) at 4,400 rpm.

An '09 is a detuned LS9 from the factory. '04 and '05s were LS6s, '06 and '07 was LS2. They didn't make an '08. The '09 to presents are detuned LS9s making ~556HP.

They didn't.

I believe his is one of the only ones in the country with it. He did it because it was cool and no one else had done it yet.

Kind of. There are tremendous differences between the motor, and from what I understand, the similarities are that they're both LS3-like and super charged. Other than that....

Gotcha! I misread your post, didn't understand you were talking about a swap.

That car is sweet, I had two students in two days back to back at Road America the first car was a stock 05 with intake and headers the other was the 04 mentioned above. That car had all kinds of grunt!

Plus the weak link in the 1st gen CTS-V isn't the axles it's the differential I did set-up on a NASA ST-2 CTS-V and we broke 2 rear-ends in one year. They split the case right in half. They also have a tendacy to wheel hop.
