Default Shop recommendation

So in my old age I've gotten lazy, and I really would like to avoid pulling out the drivetrain on jackstands again.

Any recommendations for a good race shop in the mid atlantic area? I'm only willing to drive within 3 hours from DC.

Phoenix should be about that far (maybe)

Wally,

I have heard there is a place at Big Pine Key Motor Home and Adult Theme Park. It has free movies and is rumored to be good at shafts or shafting, don’t remember which. Jody would know.

The diff is actually easy compare to clutch etc. All you need is to drop the back half a few inches. I bet you could find a local shop willing to do it in a few hours

While I was building our house, we lived in a small rental near by and I had to do a clutch on my 1st 01 with jackstands and jacks (my shop wasn't finished).

I'd rather beat my brains out with hammer.

Right now I keep telling myself it cant be that bad, but I have to remember that when I finished the clutch swap last time I promised that I'd NEVER do that again.

Gallant's Automotive up in Bel air Md can do the job for you. I think that'd be a 1.5 hr drive for you w/o traffic. Rob Metzger owns it now--he does the work and his personal vehicle is an 04 Supercharged C5Z so it's not as if he doesn't know the car. I know he's done C5 clutches and he R/R'd my trans years back w/o issue.

Other than that...yeah there's Phoenix and ECS but those are one hell of a lot farther. I've heard of a good shop in Frederick but I don't have any experience...do some searches.

Don't know nuthin bout the Flamingo *****, but I heard from a good source thoze guys at BIG PINE do their drillin with a .45 cal semi auto... that could esplain the erratic spacing.....One of the other options might be a better choice Wally!!

One reason I have been putting off pulling the FRC drivetrain for the 5th or 6th time
