I will be crewing at VIR for World Challenge team Xowii Racing. Our Mazda Rx8 is in 2nd place in the TC class. Please stop by the WC paddock and look for our transporter. WC is multi class racing with everything from awesome Vettes, the worlds fastest Volvos, Porches, Vipers to Mazdas, Honda Civics and VWs all on track at the same time. Come on by! Free Xowii energy drinks from the beautiful Xowii girls to all CF members!

I was right behind the wreck at VIR 2 weeks ago! He actually passed me at the bottom of the esses and went off at the top. Did that car get fixed?

That's a nice trailer you have there! Is the Tahoe new too? I don't remember that in the fleet the last time I saw.

What did you ever do for a track car? I was looking forward to seeing you guys racing around this year.

Traded the burb and bought the camper back in May. Camping again at the end of the month for the big Vette show at Smith Mountain Lake.

Still in limbo with the track car idea. Been putting some miles on the Z's lately and getting the juices flowing.

Hey let me know what time things get cranked up on Sunday. I'm leaving here as early as I need to to get there before things start happening.

Go to the link in my first post and there's a link in the upper right to down load the daily schedules. Looks like the first cars on track are the super karts at 8:15

CRAP!!!

Been waiting all morning for the GT cars and it starts a steady friggin rain as they are on their warm up lap. They get maybe two laps of qualifying in when a 911 went off in the esses and brought out the red flag. Hope the driver is OK and they had to repair the tire wall. Of course it's stopped raining now and we're waiting for the super karts to come back out.

***EDIT***

It figures, I checked the weather channel and the only rain in sight was the 20 minutes the GT cars were to qualify

I think the super karts took one look at the wet track and said no thanks! So they went right into the lunch time schedule.

944 racing next at 12:30

This guy blew a right front early in the first practice coming out of the oak tree turn. He had to wait through most of the session for ride. I thought about offering him a cell phone so he call his crew. Wouldn't that freak the crew chief out!

Sorry about the crappy pictures, I'm still learning the zoom on this new Nikon.

The Porsche that went off was Patrick Lindsey. No injuries. Heavy damage to front and some damage to rear. Ripped right ront wheel and suspension off. Asked the crew late Saturday afternoon if they would be back out. Answer was no because of trans problems. Have no idea if it was associated with the wreck.

For those familiar with VIR, the rain in the pictures above never materialized that heavy at the North paddock. The most rain there all day was light, short drizzle, but enough to wet the track.

Really missed seeing the Corvettes out in the Trans Am session, but they red flagged the session after the Prosche went off very early in the session.

Drissi in the Cragar Wheels Vette lost a rear end at the top of the esses in the WC race. Insides looked like steel wool when we saw it later.

Seeing shifter karts on the full course did not look right, since I have only seen cars there.

Ed
