Do they have to be A6? We have many other options but no A6 right now.

I have (4) 275s. Still very fresh (2 heat cycles on 1 pair, 4 on the other).

You'd be better off with the other set of 275 C91's I have (not that I really want to get rid of them) since you can't run the 295 in TTA. But you can have the 295's for a good deal if you still want them. I was going to run them in ST2 sometime in the future, but truth be told I have 12 sticker A's and plenty of good scrubs that I can use.
BUT - I really should either use them or sell them before they sit around too long and get hard. Decisions decisions....

I'll take any free tires you want to throw my way.

And I may be enticed to pay you to NOT sell any tires to my competition.

I've seen some of the tires you've run and I have the perfect deal for you. You can have the tires that I ran at comp school on Friday. They'll save you some gas because the cords are already showing.

Also, I am not at liberty to discuss any business transaction that I may be currently involved in with one of your competitors.

Any reason you use the A6s over thr R6s? I thought the R6s were for rr.

Although an A6 and an R6 both have a 40 treadwear rating by Hoosier, they are NOT equal. An A6 is softer than an R6. In Time Trials, you want the fastest tire possible right from the start. This in turn equates to the softest tire possible. Since the entire point of Time Trials is to see who can turn the single fastest lap time, your goal is to run as fast as you can in the first couple of laps. After the 2-3 lap, your car is getting hot, your tires are getting greasy, your concentration is starting to go because you are driving on the edge, and so on. You can run a harder tire that will last longer, but you will not turn the fastest laps possible. And that is what TT is all about.

Thanks. So for regular HPDE, then the R6s will work best.

Yes. But I would also say that for regular HPDEs, any 100 treadwear R-comp tire will work just fine. Nitto NT01s, Toyo R888s, etc. will do just fine and last longer than a 40 treadwear Hoosier R6.

I'm a big fan of Nitto NT 555 RIIs for my C5Z. 275/40-17 front, 305/35-18 rear.
