Default Mazda Drivers Club at VIR

The Mazda Drivers Club usually runs the Grand Course at VIR in June. Does anyone know if they are doing it this year? I looked at the website. There are no events posted for this yr....

thx

Early in January the VIR website showed that Mazda had 2 dates just like last year. Now they are gone. The Mazda website does not show any dates at all for events. Rumor has it that Dave - the guy that ran the events for Mazda - declined the position this year due to "real" work commitments. No one in the organization stepped up to fill the spot so the events are gone. It's a shame - I enjoyed running their events for the past 5 years.

Same here... I've been running their 2 events each year for 4-5 years. I figured something was up when the dates were never updated from last year and then were removed from the site

Never ran with them heard they were a good org. Too bad. Seems HPDE is really in decline. Less orgs running them. Ferrari of Wash. & NV corvette club used to run events HPDE at Summit Main and those are gone.

Hmmmm.... NASA is growing year over year, even in this economy so it's not all doom-gloom.

Bummer, had a lot of fun with Dave & Co.

Grand has enough turns the Miata guys didn't worry about getting lapped ;-)

Sorry to hear this. My first trip to VIR was with Mazda on the Grand East. Was thinking about going back this year. Look like no decision needed from me now.

I'm bummed about MDA not running the Grand at VIR. The good news is the SVT Cobra guys are.... May 27-29th
I've done several events with them. They run a very good event.

It will be fun!
