Default Does anyone run a Hoosier 315/30R18 on an 11.5" wide front wheel?

I'm looking at buying another set of track wheels for my C6 Z06, CCW C10's. I want to run the Hoosier 315/30R18 up front, and the 345/35R18 out back. So out back it seems to be a no-brainer, go with the 13x18 wheel and everything will fit great. That maxes out the wheel width for the 345 tire and makes sense. But then if you want to do the same up front, you need to run an 11.5 or even a 12 inch wide front wheel to fully utilize the 315. But I've never seen anybody running a 315 on an 11.5" wheel up front, so has anyone here done it or seen it done? I'm sure it will rub at full lock but I'll never be at full lock on the track so that's not a concern of mine. If it helps I'm running -3.0 degrees on the front wheels, and right now with the 285/30R18's mounted on CCW 10x18's it looks like I have loads of room.

Yeah... I've seen a lot of guys do this. I'm guessing you're also running 345's on 13" CCW's out back, right? The thing about this setup is, the 315 is the largest tire your can run on an 11" rim (big tire for the rim size), while the 345 is on the small size for a 13" rime (small tire for the rim size). The sidewalls on your setup will be streched inward up front and outward out back. Seems likely to cause a turn-in inbalance in the car with the response of the front lagging the rear. I'd want to have an 11.5" front if possible with a tire as large as a 315, just to help keep the balance of the car or maintain fast turn in bite.

Since Hoosiers sizes run a little bit larger I would think the 11.5" width would work better.

We run the 315's on the front all the time.

By the way we have 4 315x30x18s r6 2 track weekends for sale 150.00 a tire plus shipping. They have a lot of track time left.
