Default C6 shifter in C5 z06 - 1J or 2J?

I have a 2004 z06 and it currently has an aftermarket shifter.

I was wondering what I could go with and stay in the group 1 class...it says "factory" shifters only. Can you put a stock c6 shifter and still be in group 1? Would you recommend it or find a c5 stocker?

Thanks.

If your refering to NCCC rules, no you can not change that out in
group I.

Group II yes!!!

Can't tell you about pros and cons if it fits or works well.
