I am trying to be thrifty and was looking for some advice from the experienced people here. I found a used Hans sport (date Nov 09 sliding tether) and a used Arai GP5K helmet (SA2005). The person wants 800 for the pair and does not seem to flexible. Is that an unreasonable price?


Also looking for a harness bar, seats, belts, etc for a C6Z and looking for advice on where to watch for this stuff or somewhere I can get a good package deal on new stuff.

I buy everything I can from this forum and nasaforums.com and friends etc. Very rarely do I buy new stuff.

That said when it comes to safety equipment you want it to fit right vs. save a buck. I use a DefNder neck restraing and G-force Hybrid helmet. I could buy both brand new for $800.

I think those 2 items probably cost about $1,200 new but I'd do some searching to confirm the new price.

Keep in mind that the helmet has lost half its life cycle in some circles and already is obsolete in others (SA2010's are out now). I don't know about HANS dating.
