Default Helmet assistance

NJ now requires a full face helmet so I am looking for a full face SA2005 or SA2010 helmet. I am a 7 1/4 hat size which seems to be a medium helmet for most manufacturers. The problem I am having is the tip of my nose makes contact with the face bar. I have tried HJC and Bell with the same problem.

The speedshop suggested that a Bell M4 may give more room but they are all on back order.

Before I get a nose job, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on helmets that give more room upfront.

I have no problems with my medium Arai motorcycle helmet, but a medium Arai GP5K was very close.

I guess the kids in elementary school were right.........

Contacat Simpson for an SA rated full face helmet. They have the V-Sport (SA2005, full face) for about $250.

I like the Bell M4 - it has a much larger eye opening than the standard helmet that should give you the clearance required. Try OG Racing in Virginia - they have a large stock of 2010 helmets and should be able to help you.

I just got an HJC AR II and it seems to be quite adequate. Even with a larger nose, it clears no problem. Pretty comfortable and the liner is removable and washable. The rubber tone black seems to carry a little more of a badass look than the white.

Think I may have your solution

Pyrotect makes a Pro Airflow Full Face that has a chin bar that is further out.
I have a Medium worn 10 times.
