Default Ti Speed Brake insulators w/ Hawk Padlets

Bad combination The Hawk padlets (I don't know about the full length pads) have rivet heads on the backing plate. These rivet heads, working with the flat Ti insulator, push the pistons back into the caliper and result in a long petal. The first trip out of the garage was exciting.

I ended up grinding the rivet heads down. Speed Brake should include a caution to not use this product with and pads/padlets that are not flat.

Default Cut

I cut mine so that the rivets came free. Works good.
