Default The Corvette Hop & coilovers

Gents,

My pea brain is at it again. So we all know what the corvette hop feels like but do we know what causes it? My guess is that any car will corvette hop. The key is sweet spot relationship between controling body roll with sways and spring stiffness. I think the vette theory of using transverse leafs which have rollbar attributes plus the large bar small spring idea to get power down contributes to the hop. I hear that people who have done CO conversions are using heavier springs than stock which change the relative "rate" relationship of spring to bar and thus tune out the hop. So how does one find that optimum point to tune out the hop? What is the math? Also does a modern vette have a higher wheel frequency than other performace cars that contributes to the hop? I have never calculated the vette frequency.
