Default need tires for ZR1

autocrossed the ZR1 this weekend. Never been on a track before. It was a blast. My best time was 37 sec fastest lap overall was 34 so I thought it was alright. Almost everyone there was experianced and had track tires. Most A6 but they dont fit my car. What do I need

I'm surprised this question never got answered. I was just searching the forum for race rubber for a ZR1 and only found this post.

Guys must use race rubber on their ZR1's?

I have been looking and this this combo might work. Anyone can reply and tell me if they know different.

I was thinking of getting a 19" front and 19" rear to be able to get Hoosier A's.... West Coast Corvette called the wheel manufacture and said the combo I am thinking will work.... ZR1 aftermarket black front rims and Z06 19" rear rims..... matching rim.

fronts from this set

rears from this set

Then I was thinking a Hoosier A 295/30/19 for the front and 345/30/19 for the rear.

The front height is .3 taller and rear is .2 taller, seems like I am thinking straight.

10mm wider on each corner, should be fine.

What are people using on their ZR1's???

I have ran 29-65-18 front and a 31-71-18 rear on the car
The best and fastest time I think Michelin tires

Of course it all depends on how grippy of a tire that you want to go with, and if you want to drive the car to the track on the tire as well.

Did you track the car on the Cup tires?

There are options such as going to 18's...which is what I would do if you wanted to run a full true race slick on the car.

This is what I had on Lou's car when you took a ride in it with Louis. Those were Hoosier A6's 315 fronts and 345 rears.

There are options, and I have heard of rumors for a 20" R tire, but haven't seen it yet.

Aren't the 2012 Cup OEM tires considered R compounds?

Just out of curiosity did you stick with the 19" & 20" set up or did you go to an 18" wheel size front and rear? Also what widths did you go with?

We did ForgeLine GA3R's 19/20 with the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup ZP's.

I was / am looking for stickier so I am happy you responded with a link to your thread. I could not find it.

I want Hoosier A's and wondered if the 315 would fit on the front.

So, I posted to the old thread and happy you guys gave some updates.
