Clear 3M window/door caulk. I believe it's item #5000 on the tube/bottles. If you call CCW they'll verify. They also have some good how-to videos on their website.

I've done it a few times... it's not too hard, just a bit time consuming to screw all those nuts/bolts together.

I've done this several times and the stuff that CCW recommends works very well. It's GE Premium Waterproof Silicone in clear. Stock number GE5000 which you can get at ACE Hardware and probably a lot of other places too. The CCW website has a video on resealling a wheel if you're interested.

^ Sorry you're right... I had the PN correct, but not the brand. It's GE and not 3M.... woops.

I used what others said.

Looks like this:

Just make sure it is the clear and not the black or white.

Elbow grease... a crap-ton of it. If they're really bad you'll need to start with steel wool and then polish them back with progressively finer polishes much like sanding a piece of wood.

naw, there has to be a better answer for the webbing. I'm not about to scrub every nook and cranny. I was thinking tumbling it in a sand tumbler or media blasting it, and using a 4" grinder with metal polish and a cloth pad for the flat faces.

Scotch brite and a good solvent is what I used successfully. In order to speed up the process of tightening the many bolts, I used a motorcycle rear wheel cradle roller. Any roller system will help, even those used by the linoleum/rug dealers. You need to plan everything before squeezing on the sealant. Quick assembly is really important.

Well it depends on if you're just trying to knock off the crap or actually make them look new again. As said below a Scotch Brite pad and some solvent will clean them up, but it'll scratch them and make them dull. I love not having CCWs anymore... I can actually see my brakes to inspect between sessions.

If you watch CCWs how-to videos you'll see thats exactly what the guy has... a roller setup and air-tools
