C5 cage install: Remove battery, PCM, both?
I remember reading years ago that the battery and main PCM (in the fender well) should be disconnected when welding. My car has the fuel tanks pulled so it won't be driving anywhere regardless.
Do I need to pull the battery and/or PCM? Is just unplugging them sufficient?

Whenever I do some welding on a C4/5/6 I always install one of these, just to be on the safe side.
It's a surge protector, for $65 I've spent money in worse ways.
