Default Quick oil pan question

I'm pretty sure that I need a new oil pan for the longblock replacement motor. I can't say for sure, but I think the break/crack extends to the pan.

Is there any difference between the one piece and two piece batwing pans? Also will any LS1/6 batwing pan fit or are there year specific things on them?

Are there 1 piece "batwing" pans? Every C5 I've had (4 of them, plus 2 others in the family) has had a 2 piece pan.

I'm sure someone has a LS1 pan laying around.... lots of turbo guys use the LS2 pan for more room.

Yeah the earlier ones, maybe just 1999 are one piece.

Hmmm... didn't know that. I wonder why they made the change.

Earlier ones hold .5 quart less oil.......I probably have a couple of late model bat-wings laying around...

I would put the later model unit on.

Learn something new every day... is that 0.5 quart difference in overall holding capacity? I don't remember GM ever changing the advertised oil capacity for a C5 from 6.5 quarts with filter.
