Accelerometer removal ???
I have a 2004 Z06 and am getting ready to install race seats with fixed seat rails. On the passenger side is the accelerometer mounted to the floor right whetre the seat rail needs to go. I have popped it loose from the floor but my question is can it be removed completely or do I need to re-install after I get the seat rails installed.

I picked up a second one to mount to my passenger track seat. It was too much of pain removing the one in the car an then installing it on the track seat. I still have to remove the one on the floor because it interferes with the track mounts.
I also had to cut the rug to let the wire reach the one installed on the track seat mount.

If you haven't purchased the rails yet look into the Pfadt seat track before making a purchase. With the Pfadt track you won't need to move the sensor.

I have the Hardbar seat mounts. Love them, but putting track seats in is a pain removing/moving the sensor off the floor.
Good to know the PFADT version has a cut out for the sensor.
