Default What hoosier sizes?

I'm going to be doing Road Atlanta in July and I need to get some R6s on my C6Z06. For rims I'm using the stock fronts that are 18x9.5 and for the rears I have 18x12. Now do I run on the front the 275/35 or 285/30 and for the rear the 335s or 345s both in a 30 series.

Thanks

With those rims, I would recommend the 295/30/18 in front and the 335/30/18 rear. I ran that combination for a couple years with good results. I'm running 315 in front now and I like them better, but your front rims are too narrow for those.

We have Continental slicks made by Hoosier in 285/645/18 fronts and 325/680/18 rears that would work perfect for your set up. PM or call me for details. $100.00 per tire plus shipping. One heat cycle, 80% plus rubber remaining.

A 295 will fit on a 9.5 rim? Also why not run the 345 in the rear?

Check out the hoosier tire specs.

http://hoosiertire.com/rrtire.htm

They give you the tire widths and diameters along with recommended wheel sizes. Yes a 295 will work on a 9.5" rim and the reason I recommend the 335 instead of the 345 is because of the tire diameter. I'm not sure about the C6Z stock tire sizes, but I don't think a 345 would work very well on my C5. I think it would rub pretty badly (my 335's are right on the edge and occasionally rub the fenders in hard bumps) and it would make my gearing slightly higher.

I know a 345 fits for street tires but I dunno for the track with hard cornering if it will rub or not.

I run 295/345 A6/R6 and have never had an issue on or off track. The front barely and I mean barely rub, but my car is lowered. The rears have never touched any part of the inner or outer fender panels.

Thanks Rich. Looks like I am calling tirerack tomorrow and spending absurd amounts of money on tires.
