I see in the build thread it looks as if they widened/ added fender flares to the car. Do you know if they have flares for it, or was it a custom widen job? Thanks

The U.S. version comes as depicted.

The car may race/test at Watkins Glen in early June.

My own Monte Carlo is getting re-bodied as one this summer.

It's a composite racing body, about 3000 from HOWE.

When you say "as depicted" do you mean that car now COMES with the flares?

I totaled my race car a few weeks ago and was interested in plugging my drivetrain into one of these. Is there a one stop place I can go for more information on the rest of the car? Suspension, Brakes, etc. Any links to the major rulesets? I would be running in SP to start since my motor is an LS7, but would want to be TA2/other eligible when I can get the required motor. Thanks.

There are two bodies, the Camaro Cup version sold only in Europe.

The U.S. wide body version, with wider fenders (flares built in).

This particular chassis is a Howe road race tube frame with a few minor mods by Woody at Bemco Fab in Deland Fl.
The suspension is Howe uppers and lowers and spindles. Penske coilover shocks 8100 series, Brembo brakes off a Nascar cup car.
Nascar type 9" Ford rear end. Jerico 4 speed. 16" CCW Wheels with Hoosier 13" wide Front and 14" wide rear rubber.
Three link rear suspension with a WATTS link designed and built by Woody. the livery is a Wrap.

I am putting one of these on a HOWE/BEMCO SCCA GTA type chassis.
Will have to re work the A post on the cage. But that is all.

This will be an SCCA GT-1/SPO type car or NASA SU for Ralph Tommaso.
Actually at this point the LS3 is not GT-1 legal, but an LS1 is?
It will be a rocket!

Over 600 HP LS3 by Schwanke at about 2500# w/o driver.

This body could be fitted to many perimeter frame short track stock car chassis. For specifics call Woody at Bemco 386 985 1002. He will be back in the shop Tuesday 5/24.

This is the chassis used

Last summer I bought a nice perimeter late model stock car chassis (almost a roller) for about 1500. That could be the basis for another of these Camaro's. It was a Nascar AutoZone Elite series late model stock car (Port City Chassis). I've also got a fresh 550 HP dry sump road race small block chevy and a Tex T101 road race 4 speed I could throw in it.............. oh, must stop, get these thoughts outa my head!

I know where there are 2 brand new Jack Roush pickup truck chassis. Cheap! If you know anyone who might be interested, let me know.

Otherwise, they are going to be sold for scrap value.

So roughly how much does it cost to build on of these bad boys?

I know there are alot of variables but ballpark... 50K ish?

And yes I have to ask and no I can't afford it.

Thanks for the info. Any more pice you can get would be awesome.

Is that chassis as delivered? or after fab work? Probably after fab work as it is powder coated and I see window net stuff fabbed on...

My drivetrain would be a 685 FWHP LS7, Tex 101A and full floating Grand National Ford 9". That package FLEW in my 3100 lb stock bodied Camaro to the right....would be fast in this as well. Hoping the suspension, brakes, tires and rubber could support that. The car would need to run SP here...which would be a problem as we have $200,000 Trans Am Cars with 850 HP motors running SP regularly, so it would find winning here hard....but sure would be fun!

Less, if you are willing to use some freshened, used parts.

more if you insist on everything new.
