Default Anyone know how to make an Airbag simulator?

I know that Vetteworks sells them...but they are out of stock. Does anyone know how to make them?

Thanks,
Charley

I guess it would help to know what year car? To simply turn off the light on my C5 Z06 with race seats and quick release hub, I used a 2.2 ohm 1 watt resistor.

YMMV,
Dave

My experience is with my C5 so it has only driver and passenger airbags but the 2.2 ohm resistor "trick" should work with any airbag.

YMMV,
Dave

One each. The airbag squib resistance is 2 ohm, so that fools the system into thinking the inflator is still in the car.

I dont think that the simple resistor fix will work on a C6 for the passenger seat. It has a weight detector and a second controller that talks to the controller under the driver side seat. So without the passenger controller in place you will continue to get the alarm.

I dont understand what the issue is anyhow. So what if you have a light on in the IP for restraint error?

I simply live with the light, I also have no audible warnings with both OEM seats removed.
