Default Quartermaster and P0300 (misfire) code

Has anyone has this code result from a Quartermaster install or is it just coincidence and I should get serious about finding the origin?
The code pops up when idling, I thought the rattling discs/floaters might be causing it. But, this timing may correspond to the drive cycle timing for throwing codes.

no mass to dampen the firing pulses, ecm thinks its misfiring

time to have misfire monitoring programmed out....
or bump up the idle.

But if you want to make sure hookup a scanner that can
do real time cylinder misfire and see if its just one or all.

I concur about having the scanner drop cylinders to see if its really got a misfire. Otherwise... program it out.

I was told to remove knock sensors with solid mounts, but I never had a problem with underdrive aluminum pulleys or lightweight clutches causing false misfires. I expect it is a coincidence

In flywheel, rotating mass issues it can effect missfire calcs. I wouldn't program it out completely. Then you won't know if you develope a real problem. On cars with large cams , small torque converters, light or no flywheels, I typically can leave misfire calcs on over 2000rpms & shut off somewhere south of there depending on the animal.

Hey Ben,

I would put a Tech2 on it and see if it's the same cylinder or just random mis-fires. If it is in only one cylinder, I would check out that cylinder. (wire, spark plug, coil).

I just installed a QM 7.25 triple disc clutch in my car. I have not had any misfire codes. May be a coincidence, but every car is a little different.
