Three thoughts immediately come to mind when seeing the pics of that fantastic car 1) Is it original and why would someone risk driving a KILOBUCK car on the street ? 2) How could they make that race car streat legal especially in Cali ? 3) I'm glad I dont have to keep those 4 Weber carbs synchronized and running properly.

Yes,this really is Grand Sport #3. The owner of this 6-10 million dollar car lives right down the road from Alice's. Being a 1963, the car is smog exempt, which means registration is not an issue. However, the car was sporting dealer plates. Several of my buddies who were there know the owner and authenticate the car.

I have seen some nice replicas over the years that have been really cool. I have always wanted to see a real GS in the skin.

Did it originally have a quick disconnect steering wheel? And if not, why would you put one on it now?

If I owned it I would never take it on the street. To a private track because it would eliminate all the idiots on the street.
