Corvette world tribute at Road America!
#6
We are going to be there on Thursday afternoon and will be bringing three cars! Our 1957, 1967, and 1969 Corvette race cars. There is a good group of race cars signed up for the event and it should be a great weekend. Hope the rain holds off on Sunday!! Corvette Forum Members should stop by and say "Hi"!!!

I will be there Sat and Sun. Leaving the wife and kids on vacation in MI and picking up my dad in Chicago, heading to WI for the big shew. Should be great!

I was there Fri-Sun (today). My car is SVRA legal, but I only ran HPDE because it's a fresh restoration and has only been run once thus far. So, I ran three sessions over three days. Car ran awesome!
My car has real solid race history from 1972-1986 until it was wrecked in a race and sat for 20 years almost. The car was in Dick Guldstrands book Corvette Thunder, and I was lucky enough to meet him and have him sign my book! He also took a pic in front of my car!
GM/Corvette Registry put together a big phote rededicating the Corvette bridge which I also was part of. Here's some pics (I'm uploading more shortly)
You can see me about halfway down the hill behind the red midyear
My car in D. Guldstrands book
Last session of Sunday and this happened. Then to make it worse a few guys out there started stopping in the middle of the track, like they wanted to get out and help or something crazy! Almost caused more accidents! Some people out there...whew....they need to go to an HPDE school or something.

ah man that is horrible, RA always seems to claim a car or 2 but usually nothing that bad
I just got home from the 7 hour drive. hope the driver was ok and was wearing a HANS if he was wearing a harness. They supposedly took driving experience profiles from my friend who entered said they asked what driving experience you had, which i am surprised some people had stopped to want to get out and help
