What 18x10 front 18x11 rear wheels for HPDE?
What wheels do you recommend for HPDE's? Something of good quality, somewhat lightweight but low priority, and less than $2,000 for the wheels alone? Feel free to pick manufacturer, material, construction type, finish, offsets etc.
I plan on using Toyo R888's.
Base 2006 C6 Coupe, MN6.
Looking for:
Fronts: 18 x 10 For a 275/35 Toyo R888
Rears: 18 x 11 For a 305/35 Toyo R888

Hey Bill,
What do YOU run? I really have no idea, other than I need to stick with 18" all around in order to get cheap scrubs for my HPDE's....I won't be ready for slicks for about 5 years. So semi-slicks most likely or whatever...will be running HPDE 2 and 3 for the next 5 years.

CCW is the way to go for the C6. 18x10, 18x11 are the sizes the SCCA T1 guys race on.

Like you I am trying to buy used tires Vs paying for new.
I did get some R888s from GT Racing. The fronts are 305/35/18 and the rears are 335/30/18. I have the fronts on stock 18x9.5 Z06 front wheels and the rears on House of Wheels 18x12 Chrome Z06 Repros. The fronts are too wide for the rims and I am getting a lot of roll over plus they are tearing up my brake ducts. I will run these till the fronts are done which will probably be next week then I will replace with used Continental Slicks which I got from GT Racing. If I had a wider front rim I wouldn't have the roll over issue. My LG fronts are 18x10 but I really need an 11 inch wide wheel in the front if I am going to use the 305 tire in front.
A number of Z06 people run 18x11 front rims and 18x13 rear rims.

I ran OEM C5 Z06 wheels for quite a while 18x10.5 all the way around. Great set up and I got tires from GT Racing and Bob Chick. I switch to the TSW nurburgring this year just cause I wanted a change. Set of 4 was about $950.00 ship. Couple Vendors on here sell them. I keep the same size 18x10.5
