Default Introducing Velocity Sway Bars. The Ultimate Track and Street Sway Bar.

The future in sway bar technology is here. We are proud to introduce our new Velocity Sway Bar System for the Corvette.

Designed to bring race car technology to your street and track car, our sway bar system is like no other sway bar you will find mass produced.

Product Features:

Interchangeable 4130 heat treated torsion bar tested and rated in lb/in

Heavy duty 4130 arms (eliminating arm flex to keep your wheel rates constant)

Aircraft grade Teflon lined spherical bearings at the chassis mount to eliminate bind

6061-T6 bearing mount blocks

Optional rubber chassis mount bushings will be available for street applications

A couple teaser photos:

The rest can be seen at our website here:

C6 Velocity Sway Bar

Please keep in mind these are pre-production images and the actual final product may vary slightly.

We are getting ready to head out to Corvette World Tribute at Road America. If you are there look for our car to see our products in person.

I am happy to report we had a very successful test at Road America this past weekend.

I will follow later today with some more information about the design features of the bar.

I apologize for the brief post earlier but it was done literally minutes before we hit the road for the track.

We are preparing for final testing on a C5 for next week.

We are currently finalizing the design phase of the rear bar.

What makes our bar better than the competition?

Our new sway bar was designed with the intent to grow with the user and car; and to meet your performance needs. Whether it is your street, high performance driving event, or track only car, this design philosophy produced a bar that will be the only one you will need for the life of your car.

The scalability of the system is important because it helps to keep costs down while building performance. As with anything we design and produce, we look to engineer the highest value product we can, and designing the sway bar to be scalable is a key component to this.

How is the bar adjustable?

Like other adjustable sway bars on the market, our system features 3 end link attachment points at the arm for quick small rate adjustments; however unlike other systems ours features interchangeable individually rated bars. This allows you to raise or lower the rate of the bar much more significantly than just adjusting at the end link. It also means you can run a low rate for the street and a heavy rate at the track.

Why use a straight bar?

A sway bar featuring bends performs differently in torsion than one that is straight. It is also much more difficult to quantify the rate of a bar with bends, as equipment to test such bars is not available commercially. We wanted to definitively rate the bars in pounds per inch of travel to make it easy for you to select the proper bar for your suspension setup.

Why use spherical bearings at the chassis mount?

Rubber or urethane bushings can easily cause bind in the bar as they are very difficult to keep lubricated. This can negatively affect your setup by introducing a varying rate to the system.

Using solid bushings instead of urethane/rubber can remove the bind, however if your chassis flexes under load, as it undoubtedly does, the bar will bind anyway. Spherical bearings eliminate all these issues because they allow the bar to remain straight, even if the chassis flexes.

Are any modifications necessary to install the bar?

The bar bolts to the factory mounting points utilizing our relocation blocks with no modifications.

Why steel arms and not aluminum?

Our analysis showed that aluminum arms can produce a less than desirable factor of safety when coupled with higher rate bars. This can mean a potential component failure in the future, which is something we look to avoid at all costs. So we have optimized the design with the strongest and lightest weight arm we could produce economically.

How much will they cost?

We have yet to set formal pricing however we are currently working to reduce manufacturing costs as much as possible so that we can pass the savings on to you.

Pix of the arms? And will production units be welded like the pre-production units?

I have added the pictures found on our site to the thread.

The arms will be simplified slightly to help reduce costs. They will either have a single weld or one precision bend.

Is that a locking ring on the end of the bar that holds the arm on? I had a set of the Pfadt HD sways, but the arm walked off the end of the front bar and now they are useless. Looking for something to match up with my Pfadt HD rears so I will not have wasted all my money. Hopefully there will be enough adj in yours to allow them to work together.

Yes that is a snap ring ensuring the arms NEVER walk off the bar.

Another common way to achieve this is to use the clamp bolt in the arm as a locking device by moving it in and notching the bar. We chose not to do this as it only introduces a potential place for cracks to develop in the bar.

Note: our bars are precision ground and polished to reduce the potential of stress fractures and cracks developing.

I am sure we can get you the rate you desire to match your rear bar.

The weight will vary based on the bar you decide to run. We will be offering 3 rate options right away, with the ability to offer custom rates at the customer's request. I will publish official weights soon.

As much as I like the look of the bare steel when it is new it certainly doesn't hold up. For that reason the finished product will be coated.
