Cuts in Hoosier Tires
After inspecting my set of Hoosiers, I noticed some cuts in all four tires. I think the cuts are minor but I think about that, particularly at 150+. At what point is a cut in the tires too much. I have been told that cuts are normal for these soft tires. What do you guys think? At what point would you replace them? If I replaced the tires when ever I got a cut, I would be replacing them after one use is some cases. Input please.

I'm not sure how they got there. I assume they are from sliding the tires over rocks on the track. None are over 1/2" long, most are about 3/8" long or less and depth maybe 1/4" at most probably less (they still hold air). Maybe a couple cuts or so on each tire. I just don't want a tire to blow out or come apart on me. If a slow leak developed I could live with that but not a blow out.

Without seeing it in person, it's hard to give a solid opinion. However, last time I was at Summit, the rocks in the paddock did the some thing similar to my A6's. After the next time out on track, I checked them before hitting the gravel in the paddock and all the cuts/ rock wounds "healed"...

I would be comfortable running these if others do with no problems. This is my first set of Hoosiers. Maybe this is normal, I don't know. I've run street tires up to these Hoosiers. Has anyone had problems running Hoosiers with cuts like this? I would not be comfortable running these if anyone has had a problem with cuts like this.
