Mantorp Sweden: 2011 Club Championship
Thought folks here might be interested in what's going on in Europe right now! As you may know, we have a European arm of Pfadt Race Engineering as well, located 100 meters from the Nürburgring and of course appropriately named Pfadt Europe.
We recently received some pictures from a Swedish track championship and thought it would be cool to show some of the overseas Corvette scene. Most of this our North American customers don't get an opportunity to experience!
One of our vendors R-Tune brought out their drag car for the drag competition... yes, there apparently is drag racing in Europe.
At the same track there was an event going on at the road course. Thomas P was racing his Yellow Corvette in the 500+ HP class. Thanks to some great driving and full compliment of Pfadt Race Engineering parts, including FeatherLight Double Adjustable coilovers he was able to pull out the victory. Looks like a great time to be in Sweden!
Here is some in track footage from another one of our dealers that weekend. He didn't finish quite as well as Thomas, but still put on an impressive showing. Driving the Yellow C5 on the right, at the first corner he jumped the rest of the field and moved from 4th to 3rd overall before turn 1:
Little Later in the week Thomas made it out to the Nürburgring for a soggy track day on the world famous track:
Overall, looks like a pretty great time to be in Europe in an iconic American sports car!
